OXFORD JUNCTION--John Lasack, 80, pioneer resident of Oxford Junction, died at his home here Saturday afternoon after a long illness. He was born four miles east of Oxford Junction at the Lasack homestead, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lasack, and lived his entire life here.

He was married in February, 1892, to Kate Vacek, Oxford Junction, and they engaged in farming until 1923 when they retired and moved into the present home.

Surviving are the widow, and four children: one son, Louis and Miss Mary at home and Mrs. Louis Buresh, all Oxford Junction, and Mrs. Erwin Miller, Berwyn, Ill. He was one of eight brothers, four of whom survive and two sisters, all Oxford Junction. They are: Mike, Adolph, Vince and Vit and Mrs. James Straka and Mrs. John Peckosh.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning from the Sacred Heart church, Rev. Joseph Gregor in charge. Music was by the Sacred Heart choir and the pallbearers were six nephews, Vince Lasack, jr., Otto Lasack, Ladislav Peckosh, George Lasack, Charles Straka and Henry Lasack, jr. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery.
