OLIN--Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 15, at the Hayden Funeral home, Olin, for William Henry Larson, 72. Mr. Larson, who had been in poor health recently, was found dead in his home Saturday, Jan. 12.

Cause of death was listed as self-inflicted gunshot wounds, according to Dr. John Bailey, Anamosa, Jones county medical examiner. Sheriff Lewis Dreibelbis was called to the scene after a neighbor missed seeing Larson and investigated.

Services were in charge of Rev. M. Lloyd Dutro. Interment was in the Olin cemetery. Mrs. Larry Gordon, soloist, was accompanied by Mrs. Leon Stivers.

Pallbearers included Ervin Rohwedder, Ed Soper, Robert Zeadow, Lewis Fairley, Louis McGuire and Leon Stivers.

He was born April 14, 1890, in Jo Davies county, Ill., son of Samuel and Emma Sommerfold Larson. He was a cabinet maker and carpenter and had made his home in Olin for many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Leroy Tinsley, San Pablo, Calif.; two granddaughters, one sister and two brothers.
