Frank Alvin Smith, 62, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Anamosa Community Hospital.

He was born near Olin on Sept. 7, 1918, the son of George and Vera Wilkins Smith.

Frank was raised in the Olin area, attending school at Olin and later working at farming in the Olin area.

Surviving are his mother, five brothers, Daniel, Clinton; George and Stanley, Olin; Richard, Anamosa, and Seward, Martelle; two sisters, Mrs. Larry "Ariel" Domer, Mechanicsville; and Mrs. Dale "Mary Ann" Wells, Anamosa.

Preceding him in death were his father and two sisters.

Services were held Oct. 9, 1980, at Hayden Funeral Home in Olin with Rev. Edward Peterson officiating. Burial was in Green Center Cemetery near Morley. Mrs. Michael Lasack was soloist and Mrs. Greg Von Behren was organist.

Pallbearers were Robert Hughes, Darrell Woolison, Kenneth Dircks, David Wells, Larry McCormick and Danny Smith.
