Mrs. Dillon (Clarice) Story died at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, July 31st, following a brief illness. Funeral service was held Sunday at St. Paul's Methodist Church in Olin, Rev. M. L. Dutro and Rev. Edward Peterson serving as officiating pastors. Pallbearers were Clifford and Raymond Batchelder, Fred Bunting, John Holmes, Larry Jones and Greg VonBehren.

She was born on a farm south of Olin February 14, 1912, daughter of Victor and Edith Long Bixler. Clarice spent her early years in the Olin area, graduating from Olin High School. She married Dillon Story October 16, 1929, at Central City.

Clarice and Dillon moved to their farm in Madison Township between Olin and Wyoming in 1929, and spent their entire married life there, celebrating their Golden Wedding anniversary last October.

Three children were born to the union, two of whom survive, a son, Steve Bixler, and a daughter, Judy Anne, West Union.

In addition to her husband and children, Steve and Mrs. George Tsui, Schaumburg, IL she is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Postel, Olin, and Alberta, Savanna, IL; one brother, Harland, Olin, four grandchildren, and two great-granddaughters.

Her parents, an infant son and an infant grandson preceded her in death.

Clarice was a member of the United Methodist church, Olin, several clubs in the Olin area, and was a Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, Hiawatha Chapter 94.
