Funeral services were held for Grace May Smith, 87, of Oxford Junction at 1:30 on Friday, May 30 at the Hayden Funeral Home. Burial was at Wyoming Cemetery. The Rev. James Fox of Peoria, IL was the clergyman.

Pallbearers were Richard Wink, Robert Fowler, Ross Roller, Arnold Sobotka, Jerry Mulvihill and Monte Coon.

Mrs. Smith died Tuesday, May 27 at the Crestview Nursing Home, Marion, where she was a resident. She had also been a resident of Edgewood Nursing Home, Cedar Rapids and Mechanicville Care Center during past years.

She was born at Wyoming on December 21, 1892 to Oliver and Martha Sackett Anderson. She attended the Madison Center School and was a graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Cedar Rapids. She did private nursing in home in the Wyoming area.

In 1934 she was married to Everett Smith and they moved to Peoria, IL. Following his death, she moved to Oxford Junction in 1967.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star at Peoria.

Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Von Sprecken, of Hawthorn, CA and Mrs. Frances Bahnsen of Oxford Junction; three brothers, Floyd of Milan, IL; Paul of Oxford Junction and Charles of Moline, IL.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one son, three sisters and one brother.
