Frank H. Cahill, 77, died in Mercy hospital Thursday evening, Oct. 9, after a lingering illness. For the past three years Mr. Cahill had resided near Anamosa with his daughter, Mrs. Milton Chesire.

He was born Feb. 14, 1864, near Fairfax and farmed near there for many years. His wife preceded him in death Feb. 17, 1933.

In addition to his daughter, he is survived by a brother, Michael Cahill, St. Paul; a niece, Mrs. R. M. Hofferd, Cedar Rapids; a granddaughter, Mary Kathryn Chesire, Anamosa, and several nieces and nephews.

Monahan Funeral home, Cedar Rapids, was in charge of funeral arrangements and services were held in St. Patrick's church, Fairfax, Monday morning. Burial was in Fairfax.
