WYOMING--Funeral service for Joe Luke, 57, who was found dead in the Wyoming school building, where he had served as janitor for the last eight years, was held Friday afternoon at the Methodist church in Wyoming with Dr. W. P. Nicholas, pastor of the Presbyterian church, in charge. Death apparently was caused by a heart attack.

He was born in Oxford Junction, but lived most of his life in this community where he attended the local schools and worked on farms nearby. After his marriage to Augusta Schmidt, they lived in Wyoming, where he operated the dray line and also served as janitor of the school for seven years, making a total of 15 years in the Wyoming schools. He was affiliated for many years with the I.O.O.F. and M.W.A. lodges of Wyoming but at present was a member of the Z.C.B.J. lodge of Oxford Junction.

Mrs. Luke died in 1930 and in December, 1938, he married Maggie Sonnemaker, Clarence. She survives and also three children: Mrs. Esther Lackey, Burlington; Harold Luke and Mrs. Maxine Buresh, both of Wyoming; three grandchildren; three brothers, George, Edward and Frank, all of Wyoming; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Minnick, Mount Vernon and Mrs. Lizzie Janos, Cedar Rapids; three stepsons, Charles Hansen, Camp Robinson, Ark., Otto Hansen, Clarence and Verne Hansen, West Liberty.
