Dr. Lon J. Maxon, Bradenton, Fla, dentist and former Jones county resident, died Friday, April 4, at his home, according to word received by his sister, Mrs. W. A. Preston, Cedar Rapids.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, April 8, in the Turner chapel at Cedar Rapids and burial was in the Oak Hill cemetery.

Dr. Maxon was born April 16, 1876, in Jones county, the son of Arthur D. and Nana J. Maxon. He lived the greater portion of his life in Cedar Rapids until he moved away 30 years ago.
