MARTELLE--Funeral services for Mrs. Kathryn Ellen Peet, 91, Martelle, were held Monday, April 10, at 2 p.m., at the Methodist church, Martelle. Rev. G. W. Dunn officiated at the service. Burial was in the Norwich cemetery.

Pallbearers included Ray Peet, Robert Peet, Glen Plattenberger, Gordon Ellison, Lloyd Ellison and Herman Schmidt.

She was born Jan. 8, 1870, daughter of John and Helen Donald Baird, on a farm southeast of Martelle. She was the fourth in a family of five children. She attended rural school and later taught in nearby schools until her marriage.

She was married Feb. 20, 1895, to Harry Peet. Couple farmed north of Martelle. In 1919 they moved to Martelle and she had made her home there since that time.

She was a member of the Methodist church, Martelle. Mrs. Mae Neilson has been her companion and helper for the last 16 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Florence Mercer, Tracy, Calif.; two grandchildren; 5 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband July 30, 1940.
