WYOMING--Alice J. Jackson, former resident of the Wyoming area, died Sunday March 5, in the Riggold County hospital, Mount Ayr.

She was born the daughter of Samuel Austin and Sarah Emma First, Feb. 2, 1892, at Hale.

As a small child, her parents moved to a farm near Wyoming, where she grew to womanhood and received her public schooling. She taught school and attended Iowa State college, Ames, where she met and married Millard F. Jackson, on Jan. 31, 1917.

Their first home was established on a farm south of Kellerton, and later they moved to their home north of town.

To this union were born three children, Ruth, Mrs. James Turner, Wichita, Kan.; and Dean and

At an early age she was received into the Methodist church, where she maintained continuous membership. She was an active member of the Order of Easter Star and several civic organizations.

Survivors include her husband; three children; 13 grandchildren; a brother, Clarence First, and a sister, Mildred, Mrs. Elmer Coburn, both of Wyoming.
