PRAIRIEBURG--Catheryne E. Duffy Himes, 55, was born May 2, 1884, in Cascade, daughter of James and Catheryne Duffy. After an illness of heart disease for about 10 years, she contracted pneumonia, and died Feb. 2 at the home of Mrs. Tony Beranek. She lived in Cascade until the time of her marriage to William Himes, Oct. 14, 1903. She spent the rest of her life in the vicinity of Prairieburg.

Mrs. Himes is survived by her husband, three sons and three daughters, Eugene and Vernon, Prairieburg, Marion, Central City; Mrs. Tony Beranek, Coggon; Mrs. Emil Holub, Central City and Zita at home, one sister, Mrs. Len Wilhelm, Los Angeles, Calif., and nine grand children.

Funeral service was conducted Monday morning at 9:30 at St. Joseph's church, Prairieburg, by Rev. S. J. Kucera. Burial was in the St. Joseph's cemetery.

McNamara Funeral home at Anamosa was in charge of arrangements.
