HALE--George C. Coleman, 71, died at his home in Hale Monday at 2 a.m. following a long illness.

He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Coleman, who made their home three miles west of Hale.

Mr. Coleman was married to Ella Walston their home being made on a farm in Hale township. Four children were born to this union. Survivors are his wife and daughters, Mrs. Clayton Sherrill and Mrs. George Topping, Wyoming, and son, Leon, living near Hale. One son, Stanley, died in 1937. Two brothers, Frank and Harley, Anamosa, and a sister also survive.

Mr. Coleman was a member of the Hale Methodist church. Funeral arrangements were not made at this writing.
