Services were held Wednesday for Anna VonSprecken, 78, who died Jan. 21, 1979, at University Hospital, Iowa City.

The funeral was held at Hayden Funeral Home, Wyoming. Burial was in Wyoming Cemetery.

VonSprecken was born Dec. 6, 1900, near Lowden, the daughter of Henry and Louise Hintz.

She attended both Lowden and Stanwood schools. She married John VonSprecken Feb. 17, 1928, at Stanwood. The couple farmed in Cedar and Jones counties, retiring in 1955. They lived in Stanwood, Oxford Junction, and later in Center Junction, where she lived at the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Irene (Mrs. Leo) Von Muenster, Anamosa; one brother, Albert Hintz, Scotch Grove; one sister, Pauline Oldorf, Stanwood; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
