FOREST--Funeral service for Mrs. John Taft, 74, Forest, who died late Wednesday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gay McConaughy, following a short illness, have been tentatively set for Saturday at Forest chapel. Mrs. Taft was a resident of Jones and Linn county all of her life.

She was born Sept. 3, 1866, at Marion. In March, 1915, she was married to John Taft, who preceded her in death. She had been previously married to Lyman Parmenter, also deceased.

Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Elmer Olson, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Joe Barkwill, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Lowell Klinefelter, Anamosa; Mrs. Gay McConaughy, Anamosa; and one son, Charles Parmenter, Anamosa.

Loder Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Complete details concerning funeral plans were not available as The Journal went to press.
