8 December 1960 - The Anamosa Eureka

WYOMING--Charles W. Eggert, 25, Wyoming, died unexpectedly early Friday morning, Dec. 2, at the home of his wife's parents in Oxford Junction.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 4, at 1:30 p.m., at the Wallace Funeral home, Wyoming. Dr. E. A. Piper, Oxford Junction, officiated at the service. Interment was in the Wyoming cemetery.

Pallbearers included Carl Muhlhausen, Donald Buchholtz, Gerhardt Scheeper, Donald Proesch, Dennis Wilcox and Kenneth Lund.

Mrs. Hans Ahrendsen and Mrs. Otto Koranda were vocalists. Mrs. Lafayette Bahnsen was organist.

He was born Aug. 30, 1935, son of Alfred and Mata Eggert, Lowden. He attended the public schools in Lowden and was graduated from the Lowden high school. He was a member of the Evangelical Reformed church, Lowden.

He was married Feb. 2, 1958, to Sandra Leslie, in the Lutheran church, Oxford Junction. One daughter was born to this union.

He was a member of the U.S. Military forces from 1958 to 1960, during which time he spent 18 months in Germany. He was separated from the service on May 3 of this year. He was employed by the Donald Buchholtz Trucking firm, Wyoming.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra; his daughter, Rosemarie Ann; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Eggert, Lowden; two sisters, Mrs. Marvin Proesch, Maquoketa; and Mrs. William Carstensen, Bennett.
