March 22, 1962 - The Anamosa Eureka

Mrs. Hector E. Bray, 60, Anamosa, died Tuesday, March 20, at her home.

Private funeral services were held Thursday, March 22, at 1:30 p.m., at the Goettsch Funeral home. Rev. Robert Cleveland officiated at the services. Burial was in Cedar Memorial cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Pallbearers were nephews, Eugene Cook, Leo Cook, Joseph Glenn, Robert Glenn, Eugene Bray and Curtis Bray.

She was born Winnifred O. Glenn, Sept. 4, 1901, daughter of F. M. Glenn and Susie J. Strickell Glenn, near Olin.

She was married to Hector E. Bray, Anamosa, Aug. 16, 1928. Couple made their home in the Anamosa area. She was a member of the Congregational church, Anamosa.

Survivors include her husband, Hector; twin daughters, Lorna, Mrs. James Hartman, Muscatine; and Lois, Mrs. Leo Gerst, Mount Vernon.

Others include one sister, Mrs. Howard Cook, Anamosa; two brothers, Francis Glenn, Olin; and Clinton Glenn, San Fernando Valley, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
