OXFORD JUNCTION--Word has been received in Oxford Junction of the death of Ed Leffingwell, 80, in a Nursing home, Orlando, Fla., after a long illness. Mr. and Mrs. Leffingwell had gone to Orlando last fall to be with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hodovol, because of failing health.

He was born in the Oxford Junction vicinity Jan. 8, 1880, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Leffingwell. He had lived his entire life in the community, sometimes on his farm between Oxford Junction and Lost Nation, and they also of late years had a residence in Lost Nation.

He was united in marriage to Grace Everhart, Oxford Junction, Dec. 11, 1901. Two children were born to them, Mrs. Zepha Hodovol, and a son, Charles, who was serving in the air force and who lost his life 14 years ago on reconnaissance duty near Puerto Rico.

Mr. Leffingwell had been active in the Masonic lodge for many years and both he and his wife were members of the Eastern Star lodge. He was a member of the Lost Nation Lutheran church.

Besides the wife and daughter, survivors are one grandson, and two sisters, Mrs. Grace Bogenreif, Orlando, and Mrs. Agnes Zeller, Oxford Junction.

Body will be brought to the Malamphy Funeral home at Lost Nation sometime the last of this week when funeral services will be planned. Burial will be in the Mayflower cemetery, in Oxford Junction.
