DIED
In Anamosa, July 25th, of scarlet fever, NETTIE, eldest daughter of B. and Elizabeth Huggins, aged 9 years, 2 months and 26 days.

This is a sad affliction that has fallen upon this family and its many relatives and friends. The deceased was a girl of marked character and disclosed, at this early age, many evidences of moral worth and womanly devotion to religious duties. She was the center and pride of a father's steadfast love, a mother’s tender affection and a sister’s child-like trust and sympathy. The funeral sermon was preached at the Baptist church yesterday by Rev. Mr. Eberhart, and the human remains of beloved Nettie now sleep in her narrow resting place but her bright spirit has awakened in a Savior’s love in the blessed immortality beyond.
