Wyoming, Ia., Feb. 4--The friends and acquaintances in Wyoming of Lucius Rose who lived in the vicinity of Olin, were surprised and shocked to hear of his tragic death, Saturday, Jan. 23, at the railroad crossing on the Milwaukee road. Mr. Rose was driving out from Olin and the horses got across the track in safety but the back of the sleigh was struck by the afternoon fast train. Mr. Rose's body was hurled fifty feet up in the air, and the rebound from the ground was nearly as high. His wife, children and many friends mourn his death.
