Mrs. Ray Boxwell, the former Maude Powers of Anamosa, died last Sunday at Recita, Calif. She was 72 years of age.

She was born in Anamosa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Powers. She was married to Ray Boxwell in Anamosa in about 1910. She has made her home in California for the last 30 years.

She is survived by her husband and one son, Alvin, Cutbank, Mont.

Other relatives are a brother, Ed Powers, Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Hubert Stoddard, Minn., and Mrs. Mate Sunderlin, Peoria, Ill.

R. L. La Chappelle, is a brother-in-law.
