WYOMING -- Ora Benjamin Williams, Wyoming, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, at John McDonald hospital, Monticello, following a stroke suffered on Jan. 1.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 6, at 1:30 p.m., at the Wallace Funeral home, Wyoming. Rev. F. E. Somerville officiated. Interment was in Mount Hope cemetery, Maquoketa.

Pallbearers were Wayne Williams, Gale Williams, Robert Williams, Galen Cass, Glen Cass and Ralph Cass.

Mrs. Earl Mayberry was organist. Mrs. Clarence Doll and Irene Edwards were vocalists.

He was born May 18, 1877, son of D. P. and Martha Williams, Albany, Ill. On Sept. 1, 1897, he was married to Ann Francis Naylor, Albany, Ill. Five children were born to this union.

He lived and farmed in Iowa from 1900 until 1925, at which time they moved to Wisconsin and farmed there until 1936. In 1939 he came to live with his son, Leland and family.

Survivors include four children, Dorothea Ming, Bagley, Wisc.; Merdella Williams, Prairie DuChien, Wisc.; Leland Williams, Wyoming; and Wilma Cass, Monticello.

Other survivors include 23 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, one sister, Molly Bowling, Tulsa, Okla.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1938, and one son, Poorman Williams, who died in infancy.
