Oxford, June 23

At 1 o’clock a.m. on the 19th inst., Mrs. Barbara Shemick, of this city, passed away, after a long illness. She was a sufferer for the past two or three years. Deceased leaved two daughters and one son, one daughter is the wife of Frank Benhart and the other the wife of Joe Vohoska, both prosperous farmers of this township. Her only son, Frank, lives with and took care of his mother until death relieved her suffering. Deceased was 68 years old and was born in Bohemia, coming to this country when quite young. She was loved and respected by all of her acquaintances. Her remains were interred in the Baldwin Cemetery, by the side of her husband, Rev. Father Dostal officiating.
