Mrs. Andrew Kostichek of five miles southwest of Wyoming, died at 7:30 a.m. Friday at Mercy hospital in Anamosa from the effects of burns received in a kerosene explosion at her home the day before. Mrs. Kostichek was burned while engaged in pouring kerosene into a heating stove. With her clothing amass of flames, she ran 100 feet from the house and threw herself into a water tank. Her maiden name was Mary Pegorick, and she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vince Pegorick of Wyoming. Surviving besides the widower and parents are a daughter, Mrs. V. Benhart of Oxford Junction, one grandson and several brothers and sisters. She was a cousin of Mrs. Charles Sonnemaker.
