Mrs. John Jansen, 81 years old, and one of Wyoming's oldest citizens, died at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Jansen, Wednesday at 10 a.m. after a lingering illness. Mrs. Jansen had been in ill health for the past five years and for the last several years her condition had been growing worse.

Funeral services were held on Saturday at the Jansen home in Wyoming.

The decedent was a native of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. After coming to this country, the home was first made in Clinton, then near Olin. Retiring from active farm work, the family home was made in Wyoming. Since the death of her husband she has made her home with her son.

She is survived by two sons, Emil of Wyoming and Peter of Rockford; several grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Sieveka and Mrs. Rieka Holub, both of Wyoming.
