Funeral services were held for Mrs. Vlasta Guyer, 84, of Oxford Junction on Saturday, December 17 at Hayden's Funeral Home. Burial was at Mayflower Cemetery. Officiating clergyman was the Rev. Ramon Booth, Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. Guyer died Wednesday, at the Jackson County Public Hospital in Maquoketa.

She was born near Oxford Junction on March 18, 1893, the daughter of Frank B. and Anna Lipavsky Wosoba. She attended local schools and spent most of her younger years here.

In 1916, she married Floyd Guyer at Elwood. They farmed near Oxford Junction until moving to Sabula in 1931, moving back to Oxford Junction in 1947. Mr. Guyer died in 1956.

Survivors are one son, Marvin of Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Lyle (Lillian) Ritchie of Savanna, Illinois; Mrs. Robert (Glennace) Fowler of Oxford Junction and Mrs. Edward (Patricia) Emmert of Monticello; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Lillian Bees, Oxford Junction.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and one son.

Pallbearers were Louis Ledvina, Otto Koranda, Allen Hronik, Elmer Jensen, Howard Barto and John Pashek.
