Hugo C. Keseberg, 68, died Tuesday, March 27th, 1962 at Mercy Hospital in his hometown Anamosa following an illness of several months.

At the time of his passing he had reached the age of 68 years, 9 months and 15 days.

Hugo Keseberg was born June 14, 1893 in Jones County the son of Fred Keseberg and Louise Schmidt Keseberg. He was married to Cleo Johnson of Anamosa on June 23, 1919 in Cedar Rapids.

He was employed at the Donkle Lumber Co. in Clarence, then was manager of a lumber company for eight years at Plainfield before moving to Anamosa, where he was manager of the Eclipse Lumber Co. for 35 years.

He was a member of the Congregational Church Anamosa and the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Cleo; one son, Robert, Anamosa; two grandson, Tom and Dick Keseberg, Anamosa and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Wm. and Fred Keseberg, and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Koch, Mrs. Alma Hansen and Mrs. Lena Kemmann, all of whom had made their homes in Clarence.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 29th, at 1:30 p.m. at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa with burial in the St. Johns Cemetery, Clarence. Rev. Robert Cleveland officiated at the services.

Pallbearers were nephews Harry Hansen, Leroy Hansen, Frederick Koch, Elmer Koch, Arnold Koch and Hubert Meier.
