Margery May Sherrill, 84, died Sunday at Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, with Rev. Loren Simpson officiating. Burial was in Olin Cemetery. Pallbearers were Fred Bonk, Walter Rose, Ed McDonough, John Willison, Miles Tredway and William Vanni. Hayden Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Sherrill was born at Mt. Vernon, December 13, 1892, the daughter of Lucius and May Freeman Rose.

She graduated from Olin High School in 1912 and taught in country school in Jones County for a short time. She married Lee Sherrill on Thanksgiving Day, 1914, near Olin. The couple lived most of their lives in Wyoming.

She is survived by one sister, Pauline Lamb of Lake Zurich, Illinois, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, four brothers and two sisters.

She was a member of O.E.S., Wyoming Methodist Church, Wyoming Legion Auxiliary, and Hawthorne Club.
