Lois M. Carstensen, 51, of Wyoming, died at John McDonald Hospital in Monticello, Wednesday, May 11, 1977, after a lengthy illness. Services were held at the Methodist Church, Saturday, May 14th, at 1:30 p.m. Burial was in the Wyoming Cemetery.

Mrs. Carstensen was born November 15, 1925 to Solomon and Frances Anderson Bahnsen near Wyoming. She attended rural schools in the Oxford Twp. and married August Carstensen, Jr. on January 27, 1945 at Davenport. The couple farmed near Wyoming until his death in 1972.

Survivors include 1 son, Dennis, Wyoming; 3 grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Frances Bahnsen, Oxford Jct.; 1 sister, Mrs. Marion Romer, Maquoketa; 1 brother, Wayne Bahnsen, Wyoming; and her fiancé, Joe Kouba, Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by her father, husband and 1 infant sister.
