Ira Willey, 66, died Monday, April 11, 1977 in Wyoming. Services were held Thursday, April 14th at 2 p.m. in the Hayden Funeral Home. Rev. Johnson officiated, with burial in the Lost Nation Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 10, 1911 at Lost Nation to Frank and Sophia Weidemann Willey. In the 1930's he owned his own orchestra and played throughout eastern Iowa. His life was spent in the Dixon, Calamus, and Wyoming areas working as a farmhand and a mechanic.

Survivors include 5 brothers, Ralph, Mechanicsville; Melvin, Marion; Robert, San Jose, Cal.; Elmer, Esterville; and Lawrence, Center Junction.

His parents preceded him in death.
