Anamosa, Ia. March 3--The funeral obsequies of two of Anamosa's citizens were held on Monday, both having died the last of the week. John Akers was the youngest son of the late Jonathan Akers, and passed away after a long illness from tuberculosis. He was a printer by trade and had worked in the Journal office, though later employed at the Metropolitan Supply Co. He was unmarried and is survived by his mother, a brother and sister.
