Edward "Brownie" Luke, 85, passed away suddenly at Wyoming, on Sunday, November 28, 1976.

Services were held at the Hayden Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 1, 1976. Burial was in the Wyoming Cemetery.

Edward was born June 11, 1891, the son of Frank and Kathryn Luke. He married Christina Henningson July 16, 1932 in Silvis, Illinois.

He was a railroad worker, then a carpenter and later worked at a feed mill in Wyoming.

Survivors include his widow; two step-sons, Henry Petersen of Wyoming and Martin Petersen of Sioux Falls; two step-daughters, Mrs. Anna Fields of Delmar and Mrs. Marie Harding of Camanche; 18 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
