Wednesday last week a 14-year old boy named Harry Egan while in swimming at Monticello, dived from a railroad bridge with such force that his head struck a sand bar, breaking his neck. He regained consciousness and lived for twenty-four hours.
Transcriber’s Note: Find-a-Grave shows Harry Egan buried in Monticello but shows he was born in 1888 which would make him 16 or 17.
