Funeral services for Gregory Leroy Dirks, 39, of Central City and formerly of Wyoming, IA, were held May 31 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Wyoming, IA, with the Rev. Gregory Hanneman officiating. Burial was held in the Wyoming Cemetery.

Gregory Dirks died May 28 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Alburnett Road.

Greg was born Feb. 9, 1950 at Anamosa, the son of Leroy and LaVerna NowachekN Dirks. He attended and graduated from the Wyoming schools. He was currently living in the Central City area. He was employed at Harnischfeger Corp. in Cedar Rapids for several years.
Greg was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Wyoming.

He is survived by one stepson, Steve, of Cedar Rapids and one sister Peggy Jo Johnson of Egan, MN, a niece and a nephew.
