HANS KETELSEN....WYOMINGFuneral services were held for Hans M. Ketelsen, 72, Saturday, Jan 27, 15 1:30 p.m. in Zion American Lutheran church at Wyoming with rev. Robert R. Ahrens as clergyman. Interment was in the Wyoming cemetery.
Hans Magnus Ketelsen, son of Wilheim and Catharina Lorenzen Ketelsen, was born Aug. 17, 1889 at Hatstedt, Germany. He died Jan 25 at his home in Wyoming following a lingering illness. He received his education in the public schools of Germany.
On April 2, 1906, he left his fatherland and came to America, arriving at Hale on May 8. He worked on farms in the Madison, Hale and Olin communities. On Feb. 24, 1916, he was united in marriage to Alice Van Sprecken. They farmed in Madison Township until 1927 when they moved to their own farm near Hale. In 1943 they moved to Wyoming, where they have since made their home.
Mr. Ketelsen had been a member of Zion American Lutheran church and of the Keystone Lodge AF & AM.
Surviving are his wife: one brother, Johannes Ketelsen of........
