Last rites for Paul Warner, 48, Monticello, were held Aug. 23 at Monticello with burial in Oakwood cemetery at Monticello. Mr. Warner died Aug. 19.

The son of Thomas Lloyd and Bess Mae Leaper Warner, he was born at Monticello May 26, 1923. He graduated from Monticello high school in 1941 and served with the Marines during World War II and for a second enlistment.

He was married to V. Lucille Sievers at Monticello Aug. 8, 1948. He was a grocery store clerk for several years and for the past 9 years, had been superintendent of warehouses for Iowa State Industries, Anamosa.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian church and district commissioner for the Boy Scouts.

He is survived by his wife, a son, David Paul; his mother, Mrs. Bess M. Warner, all of Monticello; 2 brothers, John, Morrow Bay, Calif. and Lee, Monticello; 2 sisters, Mrs. Howard (Mildred) Watters, Savannah, Ill. and Mrs. Lyle (Delores) Hosford, Monticello.
