Service Held For Mrs. D. Ellison In Anamosa

Anamosa - Funeral services were held Saturday for Mrs. Donald L. Ellison, 45. She died at her farm home March 11 following a lingering illness. Rev. Lloyd Dutro, Olin, conducted the service in the Goettsch Funeral home.

Althea Elsie Capron was born Sept. 17, 1919, the daughter of Jack Capron and Delcie Lindley Capron, Cedar Rapids.

She was married April 28, 1938 to Donald Ellison, Mechanicsville and they became the parents of eight children.

They farmed in the Solon vicinity until moving to the Anamosa area nine years ago.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; four sons, Donald Jr., Ely; Richard, Mount Vernon; Harold and Dennis at home; three daughters, Darlene, Diane and Debbie, all at home.

Also surviving are her mother, Mrs. Delcie Capron, Olin; four brothers, Elvern, Harry and Garland, all of Anamosa and Clark, Springville; two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Stolte, Mechanicsville and Mrs. Delbert Reinhart, Davenport and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Maxine and her father.

Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery, Anamosa.
