MRS. BURKE

Mrs. Annie Burke, died at St. Francis home in Dubuque on Saturday afternoon after a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held in the chapel of St. Francis home Tuesday morning at 8:15 o’clock. Rev. Augustine Bomholt offered the mass of requiem and preached the funeral sermon. Burial was in the Temple Hill cemetery, with Rev. A. L. Lorenz, officiating at the graveside.

Casket bearers were Hugh and Joe Fagan, Charles and William Supple, John Murray and Frank Kingsley.

She was born May 15, 1862 in Dubuque, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Collins of Cascade. She was married to John Kenny of Cascade at St. Martin’s church many years ago. After his death she lived in Garryowen several years where she married James Burke who preceded her in death twenty years ago. She lived in Cedar Rapids until she moved to St. Francis home in Dubuque. Two children preceded her in death.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Murray of Dubuque, and several nieces and nephews.
