Mrs. Minish, 84, Buried Wednesday

Mechanicsville - Funeral services were held for Mrs. Gertrude Minish, Bellevue, Wash., at the Horner Funeral Home Wednesday at 1 p.m. Pastor George Gallaher officiated.

Mrs. Minish, 84, died in Washington on Thursday, March 30.

Gertrude Ellen Krumroy Minish was born Dec. 24, 1882, in Jones county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Krumroy.

She attended the rural schools and on Sept. 16, 1906, was married to David Minish at Lisbon. Mr. and Mrs. Minish made their home in Iowa City for many years prior to moving to Bellevue to be near their son and his family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents, a son, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include a son, Mervin, Bellevue, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Gwen) Nelson, Homewood, Ill.; 2 sisters, Mrs. Arthur Vanderbilt and Mrs. Grace Hempy, both of Mechanicsville; 4 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

H. C. Rinehart, Verlon Baker, George Ross, Ben Barnhizer, Dr. F. M. Wilson and Burdell Humbert were pallbearers with burial in Rose Hill cemetery. Horner Funeral Service in charge.
