J. T. Remley, 52, Dies in Wisconsin

Anamosa - James T. Remley, 52, a prominent Anamosa attorney, died Saturday night of a heart attack in a motel in Madison, Wis. Mr. Remley and his wife were spending the night there after attending the University of Iowa-Wisconsin football game in the afternoon.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist church, with Rev. Charles Landon officiating.

Mr. Remley, a native of Anamosa, had practiced law there since his graduation from the University of Iowa law school. He practiced with his father, James Remley, until his death in 1954 when he continued the firm. He also had an office in Olin.

Mr. Remley was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Baptist church and took an active part in community projects, school affairs and politics.
