Donald Postel, 37, Buried in Connecticut

Olin - Funeral services for Donald L. Postel, 37, Mystic, Conn., were held at 11 a.m. Nov. 18 at the Shay-Williams Funeral Home there. He died unexpectedly of a heart disease Nov. 15.

The son of James and Evelyn Postel, he was born Aug. 14, 1930 at Monticello. The family lived in Olin where he attended school graduating in 1948. He entered the U. S. Navy May 30, 1948 and served 8 years in the submarine division.

He married Marion Mathewson of Mystic July 17, 1952. They are the parents of 2 children, Sherry Ann, 12 and Barry, 5.

The family made their home in Mystic where he was employed by Electric Boat in the naval shipyards. He was a member of the Mystic Masonic Lodge and several civic organizations.

Survivors besides his wife and children include his mother, Mrs. Evelyn Postel, Olin; 6 brothers, Robert Postel, Cedar Rapids, Richard Postel, Marietta, Ga., Lieut. Dale Postel, Pearl City, Hawaii, Sr. Chief Keith Postel, Charleston, S.C., Lieut. Kenneth Postel, Norfolk, Va., and ADJ 3 Lynn Postel, San Diego, Cal.

Interment was at Mystic, Conn.
