Services for Edna Mae Bickford, 71, were held Friday, January 31, 1997 at the Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. The Rev. Jerry Egel officiated at the services. Burial was held at Riverside Cemetery in Anamosa.

Edna Mae Bickford died Wednesday, January 29, 1997 at the Anamosa Care Center, following a lengthy illness.

Edna Mae Dirks was born April 17, 1925, near Monticello, the daughter of Henry M. and Lena (Neunaber) Dirks. She attended the Anamosa schools. On June 19, 1954, she was united in marriage with Harold Bickford at St. Paul's parsonage in Anamosa. The couple made their home in Anamosa where she worked at the Anamosa Care Center in the housekeeping department.

Survivors include one son, Harold Jr., of Anamosa; two brothers, Robert W. Dirks of Anamosa, Marvin Henry Dirks of Springville and one sister, Leona Taylor of Anamosa.
