Brian J. McClain, 58, of Olin, Iowa, died, Friday, May 14, 2010, in rural Olin.

A memorial luncheon was held on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hale Tap for family and friends. His family has honored his wishes and his body has been cremated. Lahey Funeral & Cremation Services in Olin was in charge of arrangements.

Brian Jerome McClain was born March 23, 1952 in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Le Roy and Marian (Bogue) McClain. He graduated from Dubuque Senior High School.

Brian served in the U. S. Marine Corps during peace time. He was a truck driver for many years for several trucking firms. He was a member of the Abate Motorcycle Club and NRA.

Surviving are his ex-wife, Patricia McClain of Olin, with whom he resided; his children, Christy Lynne McClain of Washington State, Mandy (Jason) Soper, Brianne (Matt Walshire) McClain and Samantha (Marshall Bassett) McClain, all of Olin, step-daughter, Becky (Nathaniel) White of Colesburg; eleven grandchildren; and two brothers, Mike (Jan) McClain of Cassville, Wisconsin and Kevin McClain of Dubuque.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a sister Patty.
