Anna Elizabeth Reitz Nichols Lehmann
April 1840–12 August 1909

Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Lehmann, wife of F. G. Lehmann, died Aug 12 (1909) at the age of 69 years, 8 months and 19 days. She was a native of Germany, but has lived for 50 years in Anamosa. The funeral was held at the residence, Aug 14, Rev. Heritage officiating with internment at Riverside.

There is left to mourn her loss, the husband and four children. The sympathy of the community is extended to them in their bereavement.

Note: Anna Elizabeth Reitz was born in Koblentz, Prussia, Apr 1840 to Johann and Margarethe Reitz. On 1 Sep 1861, Elizabeth married Fred W. Nichols. They had four children; Maria, Amelia, Mary and Henry. Fred died sometime around 1871. Elizabeth married George Lehman, 26 Aug 1872.
