Mary Zimmerman Funeral Conducted

Mrs. Mary Gesche Zimmerman, 86, died at her home here Saturday afternoon, May 11. Funeral services were held from the Goettsch funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday with burial in Oakwood cemetery. Rev. Arnold Schlueter of the St. Matthew Lutheran church officiated.

Mrs. Zimmerman was born May 20, 1870, at Monticello, the daughter of Henry and Angela (Rickels) Tobiason. She was married February 12, 1891, at Wayne Zion church to Fred Zimmerman, who died February 12, 1944. She had been a Monticello resident for twenty-seven years.

Survivors include four daughters, Clara Zimmerman, Freda Zimmerman, Mrs. Thomas (Lena) Faust, and Mrs. Kenneth (Esther) Hosford of Rowley; a brother, Rudolph Tobiason, a sister, Mrs. Della Poppe; two grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

She was also preceded in death by a son.
Pallbearers were Henry Tobiason, Hayo Tobiason, Michael Tobiason, T. R. Tobiason, George Rickels and John H. Rickels.
