October 16, 1880—March 20, 1945Artie L. Ames was born October 16, 1880 in Jones county the oldest child of Charlie and Mary Ames and died Tuesday morning March 20, 1945 at Mercy Hospital, Anamosa.
He was united in marriage to Edie Howard February 25, 1903 who preceded him in death. They moved to a farm north of Onslow where they lived their entire life. They had one son Charles Howard who survives.
He is also survived by one sister Ida Jansen and one niece and nephew.
