Wedding gifts amounting to some $500 including fine silverware, made glad the hearts of the newly married couple, for they were the expressions of love and esteem from their warm friends, some of whom reside in distant states. The kindest regards of many in Anamosa will accompany the bride and her husband in their journey of life together. We acknowledge the receipt of a box of choice wedding cake.

In Anamosa Wednesday evening, Dec. 27th at the resident of Hon. John McKean, by Rev. H. L. Stanley, of Wheatland, Mr. Wm. F. Burton, of Greenfield, Mercer Co., Pa., and Miss Clara C. Ellis, of Anamosa.
Accompanying this notice was a large slice of the most excellent wedding cake, and we only express the heartfelt congratulations.
