O. J. Brockett and Frank Fay, convicted at Charles City on the charge of attempting to wreck trains on the B. C. R. & N., were brought to the penitentiary last week, their terms being fifteen and twenty years respectively. Men who deliberately attempt to wreck railroad trains ought to be kept behind the bars the rest of their days, for every such attempt contemplates the probable, almost certain, loss of one to a half dozen lives or more, to say nothing of injuries to others and destruction of property. Holding up a train and simply relieving the express messenger or the passengers of their cash or other valuables is angelic in comparison. Train wreckers are simply wholesale murderers have no business to be at large in any community. - Anamosa Eureka
