Temple Hill High School

Those who wish to acquire a solid education in the shortest time can obtain it at the Temple Hill High School. This institution is under the supervision of the county superintendent and is taught by the Sisters of St. Francis, Rev. W. J. Convery being the principal of the school. It had twelve graduates last year, six of whom hold certificates as teachers in the public schools. There is a special class for those who wish to graduate as teachers. The curriculum: Reading, Orthography, Penmanship, Arithmetic, Grammar, Geography, Physiology, U. S. History, Physical Geography, Mensuration, Algebra, Civics, Economics, Physics, Book Keeping, English Literature, General History, Languages, English, German and Latin. Music: Vocal and instrumental — lessons on piano, organ, violin, zither, guitar and mandolin. Also in elocution and needlework. School opens the first Monday in September. Ample accommodations for boarders are available. Applications should be made to the Sisters or Rev. W. J. Convery, before the 1st of September. That the year be successful come the first day of school.
