Hon. Otis Whittemore, while returning home from his farm one day last week, met with quite a severe accident. The wheels on one side of the buggy suddenly dropped into a gully washed out by the recent rains, Mr. Whittemore was suddenly precipitated to the ground. One of his legs was badly bruised and his right side so seriously injured that for a time it was feared that a rib had been fractured. Fortunately, the injury proved less severe than was first supposed, and Mr. Whittemore, though likely to be confined to his house for some days yet, will be as good as ever in a short time. - Express
