Timothy Richard Herzog, 45, of Iowa City, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024. A visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Monday, July 15, 2024, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, July 16 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tim Herzog Memorial Fund in care of Hills Bank.

Tim was born on May 29, 1979, in Iowa City, the son of David and Gail (Kraft) Herzog. He graduated from Mark Twain, Southeast Junior High, City High School and Kirkwood Community College. Tim was most recently employed with Proctor and Gamble but also worked for ACT and Red Lobster. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Tim loved to cook, especially new recipes and planning road trips.

Tim is survived by his wife Benita; two children, Mia and Michael Herzog; mother, Gail Herzog of Iowa City; sister, Jenn Stuhr; two pets, Paisley and Goose; and many extended family.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, David Herzog, maternal grandparents, Richard and Betty Kraft and paternal grandparents, Dr. Fred and Jacqueline Herzog.
